Hello, I'm Edwin. So it's an air fryer. Let me know how many people you usually cook for, and we'll look at what fits from there.
Choosing an air fryer: basket size and footprint
Two measurements decide it: what fits in the basket, and what fits on the worktop. Both are routinely underestimated, because photos make these machines look smaller than they are. Edwin is an AI advisor and asks for both numbers first.
- Usable basket area counts, not total volume — food spread in one layer cooks evenly, stacked food does not.
- Two separate baskets allow two temperatures at once and solve the problem that side and main take different times.
- These machines need clearance above and behind. Under a wall cabinet, that gets tight quickly.
- Dishwasher-safe parts are the difference between a machine that runs daily and one that lives in a cupboard.
Does it replace the oven?
For small quantities often yes, because it heats faster and uses less energy. For tray-sized portions for several people, the oven keeps the advantage.
What size for two people?
What matters is the area where food can spread in a single layer. If you regularly cook for more, two baskets serve you better than one very large one.
Where do the prices come from?
From merchant product feeds, updated daily. Without a feed price for your market, none is shown.
