Hello, I'm Edwin. So it's a film. Let me know which film you last really enjoyed, and we'll look at what fits from there.
Finding a film: mood beats genre
Genres are coarse boxes: the same genre name covers films that shape an evening in completely different ways. Naming a mood and a comparison title instead produces suggestions that fit tonight. Edwin is an AI advisor and works exactly that way.
- A comparison title plus a line on what you liked about it is the most useful thing you can give.
- Running time is a real criterion on a weeknight, regardless of how good a film is.
- Language and subtitles matter: some films live on a cadence that a dubbed version does not carry.
- Watching with someone else, name the range you both tolerate — otherwise the evening turns into a negotiation.
Why does Edwin ask for a comparison film?
Because it carries pace, tone and narrative style in a single statement. A genre name alone covers films with almost nothing in common.
Does Edwin know every film?
No. Edwin is an AI system and works from this site’s catalog. What is not there, he does not suggest and does not invent.
Where do the prices come from?
From merchant feeds, updated daily. Without a feed price for your market, none is shown.
