Hello, I'm Edwin. You need a lawn mower — just say how often you mow and how the garden is laid out, and we can work through it together.
Choosing a lawn mower: area, shape, slope
The area settles the power source, the shape settles manoeuvrability, and the slope settles whether you need driven wheels. Those three together decide more than any feature list. Edwin is an AI advisor and works in that order.
- Small level lawns are fine with a push mower or a light cordless one — quieter and with nothing to service.
- Battery means runtime, not range. For larger lawns you need either a second battery or a break.
- Once the slope is noticeable, driven wheels become a comfort; on a steep slope they become a requirement.
- Mulching saves disposal and feeds the lawn, but demands mowing more often — otherwise mats of grass are left behind.
Battery or petrol?
Battery is quieter, needs little service and starts instantly; petrol runs without a charging break and has more power in tall wet grass. The lawn decides, not the technology in itself.
Is a robot mower worth it?
On one connected area without tight bottlenecks, yes, because it cuts often and lightly. Awkward gardens full of obstacles keep it in trouble permanently.
